Are you a Registered Training Organisation?
Queensland Health Academy is an approved third party that has partnered with RTOs to deliver programs on their behalf. Queensland Health Academy delivers, trains and assesses all students by Enrolled and Registered Nurses.
What is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?
RPL is essentially using your current knowledge, previous experience and education to achieve a qualification. It is about gathering evidence of your work history and knowledge base in order to grant you a qualification based on what you already know rather than having to attend classes over a period of time.
How experienced are your Educators?
All of our Educators have significant experience across aged care, disability, mental health, emergency, critical care, forensics and general medical. All trainers hold AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse. Our Educators have their base tertiary education such as Diploma/Degree, specialist education in their speciality and their training qualification. Our Educators are care coordinators in our sister companies care service and provide support, supervision and direction to support staff. This duel role allows our educators ensure their clinical currency and evidence-based practice when delivering programs. If you have a question about care or supports, our educators have experienced it and can give more information and advice based on real life experience rather than from just the textbook.
Why choose QHA over other training companies?
QHA has very experienced and qualified nurses teaching the programs, we use interactive teaching methods and have equipment and resources that some companies could only dream of having. QHA educators work as clinical coordinators within an NDIS service ensuring they are up to date with current support trends and know what support workers experience.
Where do you train students?
Queensland Health Academy delivers education at your site or at our training rooms and clinical skills laboratory at Ormeau on the Gold Coast. We have ample parking available!
