Nurse Educator EN/RN

We are looking for inspiring educators who loves to train the future care workers of tomorrow, enjoy sharing clinical nursing stories and will help our students reach their full potential.
Our nurse educators are experts and provide an engaging and fun training environment. You must have exposure to a variety of health care disciplines to be successful in this role.
Your role will include:
- Providing clinical instruction in your area of expertise
- Following lesson plans provided by QHA
- Provide practical skills application in labs
- Liaise with partner facilities
- Report student progress in our SMS
- Mark student workbooks and provide contextualised feedback
- Be involved in enrolment interviews
Mandatory Selection Criteria
- Bachelor of Nursing (RN)
- Diploma of Nursing (EN)
- AHPRA registration with no restriction or notations
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) Due to government guidelines we cannot hire anyone without this qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience
- High level of technological knowledge
- Minimum of 12 months training or educator experience
Desired
- Post-graduate qualifications in aged care/disability/mental health/acute care nursing
- Knowledge of how to conduct RPL assessments
- Previous experience within the RTO environment
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Following lesson plans as per QHA policy
• Course delivery – Certificate III in Individual Support, Medications, First Aid and CPR (Potentially RPL Certificate IV in Ageing Support)
• Conducting and evaluating assessments
• Resource and assessment tool validation
• Updating student management system and reporting issues

Essential requirements (selection criteria):
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse – No restrictions
- Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Current or recent clinical experience, preferably in aged care
- Previous training experience
- Proven technological, communication and time management skills
- A passion for providing quality training
- Strong administration and organisational skills
Desirable:
- Ability to conduct RPL assessments
- Post graduate qualifications in aged care nursing
