Positive Behavioural Support Training
This high intensity program has been created by our Mental Health Registered Nurse.
Our Mental Health Registered Nurse writes all content and delivers this program. Our Mental Health RN has vast experience in disability, mental health acute care units, mental health crisis centres and as a nurse educator.
QHA is a registered NDIS provider. Check that your high intensity provider is NDIS registered.

Course outcomes:
- Understand, interpret and apply a person’s PBSP
- Deescalate behaviours when required
- Recognise and respond to challenging behaviours
- Appropriate documenting of observed behaviours
- Understanding the emotional and psychological needs of the person
- Improving an environment to reduce inappropriate stimuli
- Allow the person to be the decision maker in their supports

This program is benchmarked against the NDIS skill descriptors and practice standards. Fun and engaging, this program ensures staff members complete the program with the knowledge and foundational skills to support clients according to the NDIS skill descriptors and practice standards.
Our programs are useful for audit, registration, and re-registration purposes. Certificate of completion provided by the Director of Clinical Education – Registered Nurse for workshop and Certificate of completion of online theory for this program.
